He had been born 17 July 1948 in Kingston at Nesbitt Memorial Hospital.  He died of GastroEnteroColitis which lasted for more than a day, dying in the same hospital.  They were living at 237 Nesbitt Street, in Larksville, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.  Incidentally, Ann's name is mis-written as Bardunas.  The informant was they boy's father, George Beretsky, and we have a sample of his signature.  Baby Donald was buried two days later at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Pringle, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.

Gastroenterocolitis

Commonly known as the "stomach flu" but it is an inflammation (-itis) of the lining of the stomach (gastro-) and intestines (entero-), caused by a virus or bacteria or parasites.  The viral kind is the scond most common illness in the US, typically Norovirus.  Symptoms include abdominal pain, vomiting, fever and chills, but the most common problem is dehydration.  This happens most in babies, young children.  The best prevention is washing hands with soap and water, frequently (Medline, 2019).
